H1B transfer delay, Fee Refund

H1B transfer was initiated and its more than 6 months now, and the status still shows as receipt received, there is no update for more than 6 months.

 

1) Is there any timeline for the H1 status to update

2) Will the uscis refund the amount as they have not responded for 6 months.

The fees are application fees, not approval fees.

And it is irrelevant for you, anyway, since they employer pays for the H1. You paying for it is illegal.

1. Yes, but it changes frequently.

2. They will refund nothing unless it was filed in PP in which case PP fee will be refunded.

Contact your attorney. Fee is non refundable, why are you worried about the money? 

The only reason you asked for fee refund is likely that you have paid that amount and this is what happens when you work for shady employer.

i too in same situation i did not get any update for last 3 month. since most people said 2 month max. not sure any deadline. please advice.is it real that 6 month is deadline or no deadline in case of normal visa processing.

No deadline for normal processing.
