Should I again go for stamping? Have a valid H1B visa, but amended

Hi,

 

I started working on H1 from Oct 2012. I visited India this year, so went for stamping. Now I have a valid visa stamping till Jun 2016.

 

Recently I started working for a new client, so my employer has initiated H1B amendment. Now Im in the last three years of my H1B. Will I get my H1B validity date extended till Oct 2018? The documentation prepared by employer still has the same end date - Jun 2016.

 

I have plans to visit India in Feb 2016, should I again go for stamping? Or am I eligible for dropbox?

No need for stamping. To return to US you need amendment approval.

Based on the documentation that your employer provided, I think you will get date till June-2016.

 

In case you get beyond June-2016, no need for stamping if you travel before your visa expiration (June-2016). If you travel after visa expiration, you are eligible for drop box.
