Passport expiry and stamping

Hi all,

I a, traveling to india on Jan 30 2016and I have my stamping for my h1transfer on first week of February.

My passport is valid till August 2016. Will it effect my visa stamping and validity date on visa.

I got only 2 weeks leave,is it possible to renew my passport in india after stamping.i am actually late now to apply from here in usa and do not want to take any risk of delay,as it now taking 3 weeks min from ny usa.

Will this effect my Poe .?

You need 6 months valid passport for stamping. It will not affect duration of visa.

You can renew it in tatkal in India.

It will be exactly 6 months if I go on first week of feb for stamping.what you would suggest whether I need to do renew first and go for stamping with my new passport or

What would happen if I go for stamping with exact 6 months...my passport valid till August 10 2016
