Valid I-797 ( Stamping required), Expired visa , traveling through Dubai

Hello All,

 

I tried looking for my situation before posting here:

 

I am planning to travel to New Delhi via Dubai this holiday season as an Indian passport holder. Unfortunately, there is a 9 hour layover in Dubai and hence Emirates will provide me a hotel stay and visa. 

 

I have an approved I-797 but an expired visa. Does anyone know if approved I-797 along with expired visa “work" for getting accommodation through Emirates in Dubai?

 

Or do I have to stay back at the airport?

What has US visa got to do with getting a visa to UAE?

Shouldnt be an issue. You must be getting a transit VISA from dubai and thats enough to stay for sometime in Dubai. You dont need a valid H1 VISA to stay in dubai.
