H1 Transfer, visa stamping and travel

I transitioned roles within the same company and a H1 transfer was done for the same  with an end date of jan 2018. My previous visa for which I did stamping is valid until Aug 2016. My travel is in feb 2016, so I am not planning to get my visa stamped.  

1. When I get back my i-94 the end date will be the new one - Jan 2018 . Right ?
2. After Aug 2016 if I travel out of united states, can I re-enter without new stamping as my i-94 end date will be Oct 2018 ?

1. Yes, if you show your latest I797.

2. No, you will need stamping unless you fly to Canada or Mexico where you can make use of AVR.
