aidenParker Posted October 21, 2015 Report Share Posted October 21, 2015 Hi, I have completed my masters in 2010 and due to University policies on CPT my OPT application was denied and i went back to my home country and after 3 years i came back on a new student visa and now i have completed my second masters and now thinking of applying for OPT. Do you guys think i have a chance of getting OPT this time? and In I 795 form in 11th Option - Have you ever before applied for employment authorization from USCIS?? so should i answer YES for this question or it doesn't matter as i am on a new visa? JoeF Posted October 22, 2015 Report Share Posted October 22, 2015 Once you have used CPT for a year, you can not get OPT for the same degree level anymore. You would have to do a PhD to be eligible for another OPT. Link to comment
