EB2 filling requirments

Hi All, 

 

Company I work has initiated the process for filling my GC, the attorney is planning to file it in EB3. 

 

My qualification is , Bachelors in Engineering (in civil), 9 years experience in total in IT. 1 year in the current company, 8 in others. 

 

Will I not be eligible for EB2 because of my experience and 4 years degree, in spite of my degree not in C Sc? The job description does not specifically mention  for a Computer Science degree as well.  

 

The process is still in the initial stage, when is the category to file in decided? During the wage  assessment and ad placement or while filling labor?

 

Any heads up will be off great help.

The job requirements matter.

You could have a PhD, if the job only requires a bachelor degree, the case would still be in EB3.

Thank you for your reply, I got the job description from the HR, it is stated as "Bachelor’s of Engineering or equivalent degree".  With this qualification and my experience will my case be considered as EB2?
