Entry Date mismatch between I-94 and Passport stamp.what to do now?

My brother entered into US in August 4th on F1 visa. No unusual questioning from Visa officer at port of entry , but officer stamped  his port of entry date as 3rd August which is wrong. But his I-94 online form shows port of entry as 4th August only. Is there any way that he can correct entry date on the passport stamp?Does this date mismatch cause any issue while applying OPT,SSN or any other visa?
