H1B extension applied but I-94 expired

Hi, my current H1B validity is till August 2016 but my I-94 expired in Sept 21st 2015 so my company applied for extension on general processing quota before my I-94 expired..

 

Unfortunately my project going to complete on 15th October 2015 and I am yet to get my extension approval. please let me know if I leave USA what could be problem?

 

Again, while my extension is in progress can i transfer my H1B to another company? note-my i-94 already expired from Sept-21st.

 

Please guide me.

If you leave US there is no issue.

If you have not used the maximum allowed stay of 6 years on H1B an employer can file a cap exempt H1B petition.
