Can employer use previously filed PERM for a rehire

Hi,

 

I used to work for Company A and left them when PERM was in progress.

Then , I got rehired with in few months later.

I wonder if Company A can use previously filed PERM to continue GC process or they need start PERM all over again.

PERM has 6 months validity. If 6 months has lapsed then new PERM has to be initiated.
