Does I94 require a change?

Hello,

My wife entered USA on H4 visa. Her I-94 has her maiden name. After entering the US, she has not left the country. We recently got her a new Indian passport. The passport has her married name. I know she can carry her old and new passport and marriage certificate while traveling. However, I still have few questions.

 

Q1. Do we need to inform USCIS to update her I-94? 

 

We went to DMV to get her a license. They did not issue her a license and said that we need to contact USCIS as they cannot verify her documents. We had carried both old and new passport, marriage certificate, and her H-4 visa (H-4 is also under her maiden name). 

 

Q2. What can we do so that she can get her driver's license?

 

I would appreciate if someone can provide proper guidance.

She has to update all her official records that includes her H4 visa too.
