Question Regarding filing 485 for my wife

Hi Experts,

 

After the October visa bulletin is published. My PD is April 2011, I'm eligible to file for 485. My wife is on OPT and she also has got H1B approved but had opted for consular processing, her status won't change on October 1st. What are the implications of filing 485 for her? Is it ok to file 485 for her along with mine. Appreciate your responses.

Had one more question. We are travelling outside US in december. Is it possible for her to enter on OPT (F1 visa stamp valid till 2019) or should she go for H1B Visa stamping before entering?

She can file an I-485, and should. She also should file an EAD.

With an I-485 pending, her F1 would be over, so no OPT anymore.
