chetan507 Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 My Change of status denied from F-1 to H1B for travelling out of country for family reasons. I returned to states on OPT extension while my H1 petition is in the processing state. I have my opt until Nov ending. I was told to travel out of country and get visa stamped. My question is Can i travel to Canada and attend an interview? Or I must go to home country and get the visa stamping done? I am confused, because my employer said it is okay to go to Canada for visa interview. But few of my coworkers said I should travel to home country only. Please reply, any inputs are highly appreciated.
jairichi Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 You can go to Canada but home country is the best option.
