Reg: CBP Notice of Alleged Violation - 591 {CBP Form AI-591 (11/13)}

Dear Sir/Madam,

 

Greetings for the day!!!

 

I recently came to USA from port of entry Newark (EWR). I have mistakenly brought 1Kg of Rice from India. Custom's officer (CBP) at the airport scanned my suitcase and seized the 1Kg of Rice and imposed a penality/fine of USD 175 and issued the CBP Form AI-591 (11/13). I immediately paid the penality/fine (in cash) to the officer there itself.

 

Could you please let me know if this will impact my H1B Visa or my H1B visa extensions in the future.
