VISA valid till 2017 but PED expiring in 2015

Hello-

 

I would really appreciate your help in clarifying below doubt:

 

I am on L1-B, stamped in NOV 2012 and valid till NOV 2017 (i.e. Visa is stamped for 5 years). i-94 is also valid till 2017 but PED EXP date is NOV 2015 (which is 3 years from Visa stamping).

 

I will be travelling my home country for vacation in NOV-DEC 2015. Also my employer informed me that I should have valid petition to re-enter US. So I am planning to get L1B re-stamping or extension done before I leave the country for vacation.

 

Considering my Visa validity and petition expiry dates, should I go for L1 B extension in USCIS since Visa is already valid and only PED is expiring or I should go for L1B New stamping with new petition ?
