nrana1604
My OPT ends on Nov 7 and I've enrolled for University of the Cumberlands for my second masters. My previous university would be transferring my SEVIS information with University of the Cumberlands. School starts from Aug 28.. if they transfer my SEVIS will I lose my two months of OPT. Is there a way to preserve two months of OPT and defer the transfer to end date of OPT? 1) Can I defer the transfer of SEVIS record to a later day (when OPT ends) and then start working on CPT from the next day? 2) Is University of Cumberlands accredited and looks legit? Has anyone enrolled for courses at this university? Will I have any issues when I file for my H1B or getting stamped for H1B? Thanks Link to comment
JoeF
Forget CPT. What you are trying would be abuse of CPT. No real university would give out CPT from day one. Abuse of CPT would kill your future in the US. Link to comment
rahul412
It looks like you are trying to work on CPT from day one, that's the gateway to kill your career. Working in CPT is illegal and that leads to deportation, just do some research before you take CPT. Forget CPT, it will end your career in US or may lead to deportation. Link to comment
