Child H4 petition lost

Good evening,  I lost my child H4 petition and now my family is travelling to India in two weeks

 

my concerns

 

1. Do I need to apply duplicate H4 petition for my kid? or is ok going for stamping with copy of H4 petition of my kid and original H4 of my wife.

 

if I have to apply for duplicate, do I need to apply before she travel?

 

our petition has validity upto Feb 2017.

 

2. I am also planning to apply for H1B amendment, if I apply after they leave the country?

does it impact during stamping?

 

please advice?

1. A copy of your valid H1B petition & a valid H4 visa is required to travel back.

BTW while going for stamping is my kid H4 original petition is mandatory? or is it ok with my wife's original H4 petition and copy of my kid H4 petition (as her petition is lost).

For your family a copy of your I797 is required.
