MeeraJha01
Hello, I have been working here in USA for 4 months on L1-A with employer-A. Another employer-B had started my H1-B (new against 2016 quota) this year and same has cleared the lottery. I want to find out whether I can get the H1-B transferred (after it is approved) to employer-C without even joining the employer-B. In this case, I will not have any payslips from employer-B. The H1 was filed without any "Change of Status" qualifiers. Thanks for your time. regards, Meera Link to comment
jairichi
As long as employer B does not withdraw petition before Oct 1st you are fine. Link to comment
JoeF
You have to start working for B. Otherwise, the H1 will become invalid, and you would not be considered counted for the quota. Link to comment
MeeraJha01
thanks for your responses. I see conflicting opinions though :( is the recommendation (safe option) to join employer B and only after a couple of payslips I should look out for a change to any other employer ? Link to comment
