After J1 i came back to India and completed my graduation.Since 2010 i am in India only. So I wanna ask is that am I eligible for J1 again?Thank you.
jairichi Posted July 27, 2015 Report Posted July 27, 2015 A j1 is for an exchange student or a resaerch scholar or visiting faculty. Which one are you?
medfreak Posted July 28, 2015 Report Posted July 28, 2015 I don't see why not. Besides, even if the 212e does apply, you have been in India since 2010, which means you have fulfilled and home residency requirement.

I do not think so as I see that you have graduated and might be working now. http://www.uscis.gov/working-united-states/students-and-exchange-visitors/exchange-visitors
pari29 Posted July 31, 2015 Author Report Posted July 31, 2015 Hi @Jairichi...I can file 'J1 trainee' which allows to spend 1 year in Home country and then can go back to US again.. But, after filing Q1...can someone file J1 is my question? Is it possible?
jairichi Posted July 31, 2015 Report Posted July 31, 2015 Hi @Jairichi...I can file 'J1 trainee' which allows to spend 1 year in Home country and then can go back to US again.. But, after filing Q1...can someone file J1 is my question? Is it possible? It s not you who can file. An employer who needs to have a trainee has to check whether they can have a trainee on J1. If it is that easy everyone will enter US as a trainee. Ask employer first to confirm with an attorney.
pari29 Posted August 1, 2015 Author Report Posted August 1, 2015 @Jairichi..I thought You guys have better clue of visa situations...but Its employer only who will file J1...I am not sure whether we can do J1 after Q1..
