Entry to Mexico on expiring H1-B. Urgent. Pls Help

Hi,

 

My H1-B STAMP expires on August 1st.

I am travelling to Mexico between July 29th and August 6th. And then i will fly to brazil and then to India.

 

I went to Mexican consulate today for a tourist visa.

She told me she cannot give me a technically visa as my H1B hasnt expired yet.

She told me i am good to travel to Mexico before the expiry and that i need to convince the immigration officer that i will be flying out on the 6th.

 

Is it ok to do so?

What are the chances of getting deported?
