Travel to India during H1 extension - Case Was Received

Hi,

 

I have the following concern.

 

My H1 Visa expires on the 30th Sep 2015.

My employer has filed for my H1 extension, and the status currently in the USCIS website is Case Was Received. The acknowledgment was received on 8th July 2015.

 

But, I am currently in a need to visit India immediately.

Can you tell me if this will affect my H1 extension and what my options are?
