I140 approved and visa period with new employer

i searched this question in the forum and could not find the answer.

i completed 6 years on my H1B and 2.5 years left for petition/visa expiry. also I140 approved.

If I transfer my H1B to new employer, will the expiry date remain same(2.5 years) or will I get 3 year on my new petition based on my I140 approval?

would it be extended if you are moving to a new employer, while the I-140 belongs to the old employer.
