Any one with experiene of POE for shoplifting

1st offense. Misdemeanor in Georgia. 

 

Not convicted. Involved in Pre trail and case got dismissed.

 

Anyone in same situation?

Was there an arrest? If yes, you need the police report and the court disposition both.

For immigration purposes everything counts.

For e.g. even if you are found not guilty or not convicted or took  a pre trial or whatever words different states might use there will be a question. Did you do it? Your answer to the officer at port of entry or interview is what counts. You have a right to remain silent.

Also, even if the records are expunged these records remain with immigration forever :(

@Sanjana87..Did you go for Visa stamping after this incident..? If yes Please share your experience.

And have you charged with Misdemeanor or Ordinance Violation for shplifting.?
