thangam2806
Hi, First time When I travelled to USA , I came on H4. After that I got H1 approval and My COS Changed to H1 from H4. After that I came to India. Now I want to travel to USA with H4 visa. Shall I travel through UK airport ( layover 2 to 3 hours only) to USA? Will I face any problem in UK airport regarding my Change of status or not Thanks, Thangam Link to comment
Attorney_21
thangam2806: If you are planning to come to the U.S. as an H1B, you need an H1B visa "stamp". With an H4 stamp, you can only be admitted as an H4. In other words, you would not be able to work upon your return. I believe that the UK does not require a transit visa if you have an unexpired U.S. visa, but I would confirm that with the UK embassy, as we only deal with U.S. immigration law. I do not believe that the COS would have any effect for the UK transit, if you are actually planning to enter the U.S. as an H4. Link to comment
