Travel to Mexico (Cruise) while on OPT

Hello,

 

My wife is currently on OPT - (start date 6/6/15) and does not currently have a Job offer. Her F-1 visa is valid and stamped till 2017.

 

We were planning to go on a short cruise to Mexico. We have checked that Mexico does not require any visa as long as we have a valid US Visa (which she does)

 

However, will the fact that she does not have a job offer as yet create any issues during her immigration back into the United States?

I remember when I was a student and travelled on OPT, I had to show employment verification and leave letter from my employer at POE.

Thanks for the reply. I guess you might have traveled after you started working right? In this case, she has not yet found a job - so we are not sure whats the best option.

OPT has certain period of CAP after that one must have an employer to be on status.
