Kiran787 Posted June 9, 2015 Report Posted June 9, 2015 Hi I'm a US citizen working with a consulting company for 2.5 years. prior to that I worked with another company for 6 months. I quit my job with my old employer after the project ended. I have also given 2 weeks notice period before I moved to my current employer. Recently I came to know that my ex-employer has been paid 2$/hr since the time I joined the new company. When I spoke to my current employer, they said it is because they had an agreement with my ex-employer because he was not letting me go out of their company. I know it is not fair for my old company to resist my leaving and they have no rights to take a part of my pay from my current employer. Is there a way to stop this? and will I get my money that was deducted from my pay check so far? Please suggest.Thanks.
JoeF Posted June 9, 2015 Report Posted June 9, 2015 Did you sign a non-compete agreement with the old employer? If you are a US citizen, you can find another employer...
rahul412 Posted June 9, 2015 Report Posted June 9, 2015 Contact an attorney. you will get your money back.
