rob12
I am employed on H1B visa in the US in IT industry and applying for my parent's visitor visa who reside in Trinidad and Tobago but are citizens of India. My father is also employed in Trinidad. Is it okay that I show complete sponsorship for my parent's trip (air fare, stay, domestic travel, insurance etc) for purposes of the interview? Or should my parents show self sponsorship on the DS-160 form? Any thoughts/ replies will be greatly appreciated. Link to comment
JoeF
There is no sponsorship for visitor visas. You can pay expenses, but that's not sponsorship. And also, you don't apply, they apply. They need to apply for themselves. The main concern is that they have ties outside the US and will return to their residence. Link to comment
jairichi
It is not sponsorship. It is providing support for their travel to US. Your parents must apply with their own documents. Link to comment
