sriram2014
My uncle had applied for green card under family based category for my mother, now I am looking for applying for a visitor's visa for her, can I apply for visitor's visa for my mother when her green card is in processing? Please advise me here. What are the chances of her getting a B2 visa? Any help would be appreciated. Link to comment
jairichi
Almost impossible as a B2 visa does not allow immigration intent. Link to comment

livliv
Your mother can certainly apply. But she will have to answer the 'has an immigrant petition ever been filed for you' question as yes. Link to comment

rahul412
With an immigration petition filed it is almost impossible to get a visitor visa. Yes, but trying for visiting visa will not impact GC process. In worst case, B2 will be rejected. Link to comment
jairichi
Yes, but trying for visiting visa will not impact GC process. In worst case, B2 will be rejected. OP had two questions. About applying for a B2 visa and its outcome. I answered about the possible outcome and you guys are replying positively for applying. So, his questions are answered. And, no one indicated that applying for a B2 visa will affect GC process. It is just the other way around. Link to comment
sriram2014
OK, so applying for visitor's visa should not impact their green card processing, worst case it will get rejected right. Thank you all for posting. Link to comment
