sshah32 Posted May 26, 2015 Report Posted May 26, 2015 Hello, I am currently on H1B and would like to invite and sponsor parents. The reason for it is to have them visit me. Their visa is rejected 3 times and would like to try once again. ( They have petition filed in 2004 ). I would like to have know the below. 1. Any particular cautions you suggest while they stand for visitor visa 2. Does it harm their petition file while applying for visitor visa now since they have already been rejected 3 times. 3. What are the key documents I shall provide as a sponsorer for them while on H1B. 4. Shall I sponsor them or have them self sponsored. Does that make a difference.
jairichi Posted May 27, 2015 Report Posted May 27, 2015 No sponsorship for a visitor visa. What petition was filed in 2004? Since visa application was rejected thrice take the help of a good attorney.
rahul412 Posted May 27, 2015 Report Posted May 27, 2015 Rejected 3 times, its time to consult an attorney.
sharin Posted May 28, 2015 Report Posted May 28, 2015 Did you try to consult anyone? You need to post interview experience & questions asked by VO. Visitor visa is quite complicated. I will suggest trying something new before you apply for next one. 1. Self sponsorship 2. Interview in local language etc. 3. Work on their body language 4. Try scheduling interview individually rather than sending them together VO officers are not interested in documents this days, that does not mean they should not take along with you. Try seeking consultation which is very cheap in India.
