Passport expiration under 6 months, but need stamping asap

Hi everyone,

 

I ended up in a tricky situation due to unexpected travel to India in next few days. My passport is getting expired in 3 months and my visa has already expired (but I have approved extension). But I will be staying in India only 2.5 weeks, so I won't have enough time to wait for new passport and then take appointment for my new visa. All of this is because of the rule that passport expiry has to be atleast 6 months away at the time of stamping.

 

Does anyone have suggestions?

Where do they mention that you need a passport with at least 6 months validity? You are good to use your valid passport for visa stamping.

Ignore my previous response. Apologies for wrong suggestion from me. You are correct. You can apply for passport in tatkal. You will get new passport within 1-3 days. You can book appointment with existing passport details.
