mistakefromme
Hi, I was convicted of shoplifting in 2010 in California. It was a misdemeanor. I was finger printed but did not go to jail. I hired a criminal lawyer at that time. I went to the court and court gave me a probation for an year. I have completed the probation by end of 2011. So now I am done with the court. I have not been working all these days. Now I want to find a job. I am still in California and I am planning to expunge my record for the same. How easy is it to find the job after the expunge of records? Will the employers be able to see the record even after expungement? Please help me. Thank you in advance. Link to comment
JoeF
While expungement hides the conviction from employers, USCIS will always be able to see it. Link to comment
century
Hello boss since you are convicted employers can also see you are convicted even after expungement .. Court records are public in California and not easy to seal the records basically you will have big trouble finding jobs in USA.. Link to comment
