tss_inc Posted May 13, 2015 Report Posted May 13, 2015 Hi there, My wife is on H4 status. She recently went to dmv for giving a written exam. Everything went fine, she passed the exam, but the officer discovered in their system that, she is eligible for an SSN, and now the officer sent her back, saying that you need to get an SSN or get it corrected at USCIS office. Today we went to USCIS office and they are saying that they cannot correct this (anything related to SSN, eligiblity and benefits, they cannot do anything). We explained the matter very clear, but they were helpless. Now we are wondering were to go and this thing corrected. Please advise.
JoeF Posted May 14, 2015 Report Posted May 14, 2015 Ask for a supervisor at the DMV, or go to a different DMV office. In some offices, the people are clueless.
