adkb2612 Posted May 9, 2015 Report Posted May 9, 2015 Currently I am in US as a F1 Student and I am planning to travel to Canada with my husband next month for a week. My husband has valid H1 with valid Visa Stamp. Initially I entered US on L2 Visa (valid till 2017) in 2012, then did my Change of Status to H4 on 2013. And finally in 2014 I got an opportunity for my graduate studies and for that I did my Change of Status to F1. So, currently I have my approved I797A for F1 with I94 saying - "Valid for duration of status" (no F1 Visa Stamp in passport). If I travel to Canada and stay for 1 week, will I be able to use the AVR for re-entry (to be clear I don't have a F1 Visa Stamp)? As in my passport, I have a L2 Visa Stamp till 2017, will it create any problem during AVR re-entry? Is I can use AVR, what other documents I must carry for re-entry (I will have my bulky document bag with me, but wanted to know any specific documents which I shouldn't miss)?
