anuragaa
Hi, I got my initial visa stamped in Feb 2014 and travelled to US in June 2014. My visa was supposed to expire in Jan 2015. I had to change my job title while applying for my extension and my new LCA was received in November 2014 and my I received my I 797 C copy on December 16th 2014 well before my visa expiry date. I was employed and in status all the time but for some reason I received I 797 B instead of A on March 16th. By the time we got to know it was April 7th since my docs were received by my company then. Since I am not eligible to work, immediately my company sent me on LWP and raised a case with USCIS to amend petition with I 94 as there is no apparent reason to deny and there was no denial notice. This request was raised on April 7th and on April 22nd USCIS responded that it will take another month to review the case. In the meantime my company is planning to send me to India to get my stamping done as USCIS is taking lot of time to review. As I am eligible for drop box I am planning to do the same. Is there any problem in my case? Can I go through it? Do I need to attend an interview for sure? Can I go for my stamping when my case is in review? Link to comment
