EAD approved and company being acquired

Hello,

I went through all the posts in this forum and got some idea about this topic. I am a bit confused and want to confirm if my understanding is right.

My EAD was approved and it is NOT been 180 days since the reciept date of my I-485 application. My company is now being acquired. I was told that the tax id (I guess) is going to remain the same though.

On other posts, in some places, it was mentioned that an I140 ammendment is needed and in some place it was mentioned that there is no action needed. I want to know what needs to be done under this situation.

1. Since the tax id is the same, there is no action neccessary ?

2. What about the EAD ? Is it still valid after the acquisition ?
