Pankola
Hi, I married in June 2014 to my US citizen husband and took up his last name. Now, I have my Indian passport which has my maiden name while the green card has my married name. I will be traveling to India in the month of June and the ticket is booked using my married name. What difficulties I might face in traveling on a passport that has my maiden name while ticket with married name? What should I do, so that I don't face any problem in immigration. Link to comment
jairichi
You need to either correct the name in passport or green card. You have ample time to do so. Link to comment
pingpong
you can approach your nearest indian embassy (or the embassy of the country u hold citizenship with) to have your married name endorsed in your passport (or) call airlines and ask them about your situation and try changing the name on ticket. Iam pretty sure the check in agent can only issue u a boarding pass if your name on the passport matches the name on the ticket Link to comment
