Last Name Corrections in ETA Form 9089 (Labor Document)

Hello, 
Here is my Scenario
Filed in EB-2, labor approved and certificate sent to Employers. 
Employers called me in to sign the form, while signing, I discovered my last name spelled wrong. When i approached attorney for change in name , they replied as

 

 

"We cannot make changes to an approved labor. We ensure that the last name is spelled correctly on the I-140 petition so that it will be correct on all of his USCIS documents".

 

1) Will this effect my green card process in the later stages? 

2) Is it better to start the whole labor process again or follow what the attorney said?
