Travel to India When OPT is about to expire

Hi,

 

I am getting married in the first week of May. My post completion OPT expires on May 19th and my F1 expires December 2015. I am currently working on OPT. I am yet to graduate Masters with my thesis pending. I applied for a stem extension last week of February and haven't received the receipt yet. 

 

Is it advisable to travel to India and return before the 19th of May?

Yes, with a valid F1 visa and OPT-EAD card and approved OPT extension.
