eb3 to eb2 porting

Hi

I am a pharmacist. I-485 pending based on pharmacist job. On h1b. Have ead card ,never used

I am getting an offer in a different job (operations type).

question-can I join on ead(based on my pending 485). Then ask new employer to file eb-2 and port my eb-3 and retain previous date.

Can I join any job on ead or does it have to be same or similar to gc lc filing opsition. Iknow that when date becomes current at that time job must be same or similar. But right now can I join a differnt job on ead and then ask new employer to port eb3 to 2 ( if job qualifies for eb-2)
