hello all, 

My wife has opted for H4 stamping using dropbox as she is eligible per the guidelines provided. 
- her last stamped visa expired in Sep 2014 
- did her last stamping at Hyderabad consulate 

I am in US on H1 extension with my petition valid till Sep 2017. My stamped visa expired in Sep 2011 and I havent gone out of US after that. 

As per the required documents given in the dropbox confirmation my father went to Stanley to submit the documents: 
1. Applicant’s valid passport with all previous passports. 
2. A completed DS-160 application confirmation page with barcode. 
3. Photograph with white background (2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm) in size. 
4. Supporting documentation in ORIGINAL and one photocopy required for your visa type. (Documents as 
applicable: I-797, I-129, I-20, DS-2019, CDC if issued) 
5. Valid visa photo copy of the same visa class of either of the parents in which the child is applying 
(applicable for child under 14 years of age) 

People at Stanley has not accepted the application stating that they need valid visa of mine (We are already submitting a copy of my i797, but they need visa). I spoke to the call center rep and they asked me to send out an email and they will respond in 48 hours with clarification. They are suggesting she can schedule an appointment otherwise. I am not sure why they need a stamped visa of primary applicant. 

Did anyone else gone through similar issue? 
Pls advice.
