B1 Visa Query - Urgent

Hi,

 

I have an urgent query on B1 VISA .

 

I have my cousin invited to USA to attend a seminar for 3 days. She need to be self sponsored to attend this seminar as organizers are not sponsoring this.

 

Question:

 

If Fix deposite on her name should be sufficient to prove that she can bear her travel and stay expense in USA.

 

or as 2nd option:

 

She need to change the sponser to her Spouse in DS-160 who can present his account statement, Salary slips and Tax returns  to support his finanacial situation to sponsor her trip.

For this option, does she need to change the DS160 to mark the sponsor from Self to Other (with Spuse name)?
