Timing for DOL to reply with Case Number for GC PERM

Hello All,

I have asked my employer(Consulting company) to start my Green Card processing in EB2 as am eligible for it.

He has been working with the Attorney for last 5 months and saying the prevailing wages and advertisement part is done and my details are submitted to the DOL and the attorney is yet to receive a case number for which he will be able to track my case status.

He has been saying this for a month.

Any advice on how long does it takes for DOL to generate a case number once the employee details are submitted for PERM in GC-EB2

Case number is generated when employer creates an account and starts PERM questionnaire online.  Actual submission can be done many days (or months) after that when all documents are ready ( all questions have been answered). The date when labor certification application is received by the DOL is known as the filing date and is used by USCIS and the Department of State as the priority date.

 They should receive an email next day after filiing the application.
