arkie
If one has applied for an extension of stay using Form I-539 by mail, but did not include the fee, how do we go about correcting the situation? (There is still around 55 days remaining until the current I-94 expires). Please suggest what options are available. Option (1): Wait for USCIS to reply saying the fee is not included and then then send them the fee. Option (2): Re-apply, this time add the fee to complete the set of application documents. This just assumes the first application will be rejected since it was not complete. The USCIS website states To ensure your application is accepted, please: Sign your form. Pay the correct fee. Complete the entire form, especially these required fields: Family Name; Date of Birth; Address, Application Type; "The new status I am requesting is;" Number of People Included in Application.
