Trip to India and domicile questions

Hi,

 

My Wife who was a Permanent Resident is now a US Citizen.

My I-130 was already approved in F2A category & now we have applied for change of category from F2A to IR-1(or CR1).

My Wife plans to make a trip to India shortly .

While my Visa Processing is over , it might be 6 months or 6-12 months and my wife would be staying in India all this while.

I have the following questions.

 

1) Is it recommended/possible that my Wife accompanies me to the VISA Interview? or will it make a difference?

2) Does she have to be domiciled in the USA meaning does she have to live in the US and she cant  go for longer trips(like 6 months or more)?

 

Any Urgent Help is Greatly Appreciated.
