kal123kum
Hello, I received by GC through my employer and will be eligible for applying for citizenship in April 2015. I read on some forums that the completed citizenship application can be submitted to USCIS 3 months (90 days) ahead of the actual eligibility date. Based on this, I could apply in January 2015 Are there any advantages if we apply 90 days ahead? Does USCIS start processing the application or they wait till April before processing the application. Please advise. Thank you Link to comment
JoeF
The application can be filed up to 90 days (not 3 months, that is a few days more than 90) before fulfilling the 5-year continuous residency requirement, provided that all other requirements are fulfilled. They process the application, but the interview will be past the eligibility mark. Link to comment
