1 year break for medical reasons on F1 with I20

Hi

Spring 2015 is going to be my 1st semester on F1 visa.I have completed 12 credits on H4.now I have met with an accident and asking my college about reduced course load since I m on transit period from H4 to F1 they are not sure about Reduced course load on my very first semester on F1.And i need time till Summer to fully recover .The college offered me to submit all the medical documents and they will give 1 year of break with the I20 which will keep me in F1 status..

I never heard about 1 entire year of break on F1.please post your views soon..I need to submit the documents by tomorrow.

Yes you can get 1 semester break for medical reason if all conditions are met. Maybe you need to extend it after 1 semester if not fully recovered.
