Submitting the N-400 application and Photograph

A few questions:

1. What is the best, reliable mail carrier to use?

2. Would you recommend submitting the G1145 form for the electronic notification of the receipt of the application?

3. Do I need a cover letter?

4. Photograph: There are too many details to this. I assume these are standard instructions to taking a passport size photograph. Will a place like fedex office be a good choice for this?

Also. can we wear earrings, eye glasses etc?

You can use any mail carrier. Use tracking.

No cover letter needed.

The photos are passport-style photos. Any place that takes such photos is good. Of course you can wear glasses and the like.
