sholak
Hello, I have a unique issue. I am getting ready to submit my I-485 using cross chargeability of my wife. I have rarely used my BC for any legal purpose and my parents noticed some issues 1) that their last name is spelled wrong there is an "u" instead of an "a", which is common pronunciation error. 2) My name (child's name) just has my first name and not full name. So they went to municipal office to correct it and we have a third issue 3) on their now computerized record my birth date is wrong - it is showing 11 instead of 1. They are saying they can correct last name but not the date. So I either have a BC with misspelled wrong name or i can get corrected one with wrong date. If anyone had to file AOS with error in Birth Certificate please respond with how they filled it and what was the outcome. Thanks. Link to comment
tusharvk
Keep in mind that if your birth certificate is not issued within certain timeframe of your birth; it will not be useful. So you can get affidavits from your parents. There would be templates that they can use. Link to comment
