I-140 PD porting in EB2

Hi - one of my friend is porting I-140 from his old Emp to Present Employer and he has a copy of the old approved i-140 .. what are the things he need to keep in mind while porting the previous priority date ? 

 

He is planning to apply for I-140 in premium with the new employer  .. will there be any issue with this ? 

 

any  pointers would be of great help

 

 PS: perm has been approved with the new employer already..

No problem you are good to go.

 Its very easy, while filling his new I-140 form, he needs add his old I-140 LIN number and attache copy of it.

It is just necessary to make the request for the old date when filing the I-140 and to properly reference the old case. It is usually very routine.
