Citizenship Interview and travel outside USA Immediately

Friends, Good evening

 

Requesting help, I badly need your expert advice. 

 

• Citizenship Interview Date - 31st Oct 2014. (keeping fingers crossed. hopefully will clear interview)
• Oath Ceremony - XX-2014 (May have to skip it)
• Travel outside USA Planned for 26th Nov 2014 and return on 24th Dec 2014

My travel plan is very important and am required to travel to India. I am not sure how to proceed as Oath Taking ceremony, USA Passport, India Visa or PIO will collectively take more than 2-3 months 

 

Is there a way, i can travel to India with my Indian passport & Green Card ? 

 

Do i need to request USCIS to postpone for oath taking ceremony?

 

Please suggest all viable ways so that i can travel to India.

When you go to the citizenship interview, you could always tell your travel plan so that oath ceremony would not be scheduled during that period.

It can be a while between interview and oath ceremony.

Until the oath, you are still a Permanent Resident.
